I've hesitated for too long to express how unbelievably rude, disrespectful, unprofessional and, worst of all, condescending the counter guy named Rick is. On several occasions Rick went out of his way to make me feel super uncomfortable when I simply asked a basic question about a product that I went there to purchase. I went there several times over the last few years to purchase stuff and asked Rick a couple basic questions, he just literally stood there behind the counter and stared at me like I was a total idiot, making me feel super uncomfortable. Even the way he looks at you is totally unacceptable! The way he talks down to customers is unbelievable! I’ve witnessed him do it to other customers while I was waiting. I cannot believe that Rick is allowed to interact with people at the counter of that company. Rick is completely disrespectful, and it seems like he intentionally goes out of his way to make sure customers feel uncomfortable. I quit doing business with Alameda last year because of how uncomfortable Rick made me feel the last few times I was in there trying to purchase products from Alameda. I called them just a few minutes ago in hopes of talking with Steve (who, buy the way, is really cool) and Rick answered. Rick, once again, was totally condescending and rude even on the phone responding to a simple question I had. I talked to him for about 10 seconds and got two rude responses and I hung up. I just honestly can’t believe any company would employ someone so disrespectful! FWIW I am a local business owner, in fact I own several local businesses with dozens of employees for almost 3 decades. I have literally thousands of interactions with clients every year. If any of my employees ever talked to any of our clients the way Rick has talked to me I would fire that person so quickly their frikn head would spin! I have never written a bad review for anything in my life, but I am so disgusted by Ricks intentional condescending actions that I felt I had to share my experience.

We contacted this company looking for a mechanical wire pulling machine. Alameda Electrical Distribution staff located what we needed and had it delivered to the location nearest our office. We went to pick it up and the equipment did not fit inside of the van. They generously offered to bring it out to our job site. Thanks guys.

Old white Guy on the left side of counter looked at me with a supid face on him self, didn’t want to help or order an electrical box I needed even showed him a picture and didn’t even bother to look it up, how can you be a electrical store but can’t order the parts.
